Rob Green

From nowhere the game was all around him in the dying stages. Couldn’t repel Richard Wood’s effort but somehow kept the injury-time scramble at bay. 7/10

Luke Ayling

Tidy enough but has been more dangerous and inventive going forward in games of 11 versus 11. 7/10

Liam Cooper

Filled big shoes as Pontus Jansson’s stand-in and didn’t look like a centre-back who’d been on the bench for many weeks. 7/10

Kyle Bartley

The problem for Monk didn’t lie amongst his defence. Bartley and Cooper ran a tight ship at the back. 8/10

Charlie Taylor

Teed up the opening goal with a lovely run and pass, and showed more urgency than others in United’s side. 7/10

Eunan O’Kane

Some clever passes were interspersed with some sloppy play and Leeds very nearly paid for their casual attitude. 5/10

Kalvin Phillips

A match in which he could have pulled the strings but Monk’s midfield failed to provide enough intensity or direction. 5/10

Hadi Sacko

The red card should have given him carte blanche to cut loose but his touch was off and nothing happened for him. 5/10

Kemar Roofe

Showed some class in a central role and seemed much happier there. A positive from a lethargic encounter. 6/10

Souleymane Doukara

Took his goal extremely well and Leeds needed it. That aside, he didn’t shine too often out wide. 6/10

Chris Wood

Poached the opener with an intelligent run and did his best to give Leeds a focal point up front. 7/10

Substitutes:

Stuart Dallas (for Doukara, 63) - Found it as hard as Doukara to make regular inroads into the Millers’ defence. 5/10

Marcus Antonsson (for Roofe, 73) - Unable to get into the contest, particularly once Rotherham started to fight back. 5/10

Gaetano Berardi (for Sacko, 90) - Dug in like the rest through five minutes of injury-time. 5/10
