Check out our at-a-glance analysis from Leeds United's 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest at Elland Road.

GOOD DAY FOR

Dougie Freedman: Forest’s record - 13 league games unbeaten - remains intact and his side are eight points from the play-offs. Considering that Freedman is working under an FFP transfer embargo, their position in the Championship is pretty impressive. At this rate they will go closer to the top six than Leeds.

BAD DAY FOR

Steve Evans: Leeds have the FA Cup to look forward to but United will live with the crowd on their backs if they struggle too often at Elland Road. Evans has to keep the supporters on side.

KEY MOMENT

Oliveira’s goal: There were strong claims for offside as Jamie Ward backed out of the six-yard box and Nelson Oliveira met a Gary Gardner cross with a low header but Forest had the pace and cutting edge to pick Leeds off at least once and the key for United was preventing Freedman’s players from claiming the first goal. They failed.

WHAT THEY SAID

Steve Evans: I’ll give credit to Nottingham Forest. They had one chance and they take it. It’s difficult when you play against 10 or 11 men who camp in behind the ball but it’s how they play. They’re getting results. I’d rather watch paint dry but when you get results, you’re winning while you’re watching paint dry.”
