Calverley United U-10s went into the game in 8th position but with 6 games in hand. They were facing 6th place Garforth Rangers.
Calverley Kicked off at 11am and got off to a great start being given a penalty in the 5th minute for a hand ball.
Will Smith stepped up to take it and slotted the ball into the bottom right hand corner. Calverley were pushing hard for another goal and nearly got one when Sam Ratcliffe's free kick was deflected for a corner.
After 15 minutes of hard work they eventually got a second goal. Joseph Crampton took on two Garforth players to slot home with his weaker foot. Henry Broadbelt also came close after Sam Ratcliffe hit a high ball and Henry Bordbelt skimmed the top of the crossbar.
The second half started off well with Daniel McGoven the goalkeeper making a terrific save. Calverley then wnt straight on the offensive with William Smith running down the right wing and crossing the ball into the box where Joseph Crampton scored the winner for Calverley.
Calverley defended well with Martin Donnelly on great form and despite playing hard Garforth only had a few shots on target. Sam Ratcliffe nearly made a fourth goal when he overhead kicked the ball into the box and Johnny Smithson volleyed the ball just wide of the right post.
The game ended 3-0 to Calverley United. Man of the match was given to Sam Ratcliffe and the best goal award went to Joseph Crampton. Well done to all the boys that played!
