Sarah Mitchell has landed a three-album record deal with Candid Records, famed for its success with stars like Jamie Cullum.
The 26-year-old trained at The Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts.
Sarah said: " It's amazing. It all happened so quickly. Corinne Bailey Rae has inspired me a lot.
"Knowing someone from Leeds is doing really, really well gives you a bit of oomph to think- I can do it as well."
