Sarah Mitchell will see You Give Me Something go on sale on April 20 and is holding a special Leeds launch on May 7 at Coopers Jazz club, Otley Road, Guiseley.

The singer was discovered by Candid Records boss Alan Bates and has already won praise from famous Yorkshire jazz fan Sir Michael Parkinson.

He said: "She's got a distinctive voice, a nice sense of phrasing and an instinctive feel for the songs she sings – Alan Bates has signed a star."

Sarah has signed a three-album deal and is hoping to follow in the footsteps of past Candid artists such as Jamie Cullum, Clare Teal and Stacey Kent.

Her album can be pre-ordered from various music websites.
