Meanwood Road police incident: Man taken to hospital after being stabbed by gang in street robbery

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed during a street robbery in Leeds.

It happened at about 6.30pm on Saturday November 28.

The 24-year-old victim was walking with a friend along a path between Potternewton Lane and Meanwood Road, when they were approached by a group of males.

They threatened the victim and stabbed him before stealing a bankcard.

The man sustained stab injuries to his thigh, back and forearm and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

His injuries were not life threatening.

West Yorkshire Police have launched an investigation into the attack and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Leeds District Crime Team on 101 or online, quoting reference 13200506916.
