Cyclist injured in Calverley accident

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Calverley which left a cyclist seriously injured.
At 12.35pm on Saturday, June 13, a Ford Focus was involved in a collision with the cyclist in Woodhall Road at its junction with Hollin Park Drive.

The cyclist had been heading along Woodhall Road towards Calverley and the Focus was turning right onto Woodhall Road from Hollin Park Drive when the collision occurred.

The cyclist, a 38-year-old man from Pudsey, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, where his condition is currently described as critical but stable.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact PC 2561 Chris Spencer, of the Roads Policing Unit, based at Horsforth police station, on (0113) 2395031.
