A school in Leeds has partially closed to students due to health and safety issues.

Wykebeck Primary School will be closed to reception and nursery children on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

In a Facebook post, a spokesperson for the school said: "For Health and Safety reasons, school will be closed to RECEPTION AND NURSERY CHILDREN ONLY on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

"All other children should attend school as usual.

"We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your support."

According to the Leeds Council website, the reason for closure is a 'building issue'.

The school is due to fully reopen on Friday morning according to the council.
