They edged an even contest against a fine side and came closest to a goal through a first half header from a Harry Davis corner by Louis Squires and two second half efforts by Harris Thompson.

Davis, along with Asher Simpkins, was a rock at the back, containing the free-scoring visitors and leaving Matthew Hodges relatively untroubled between the posts.

And with Squires and Sam Thompson in command of the midfield Menston were given the sort of challenge they have rarely faced this season.

Fourth place was assured regardless of the result but it was a commendable finish nonetheless to a good campaign and one which bodes well for next season.
